Destined to Heal

Fifteen years from now, I see myself as a doctor, fulfilling my dream of helping others and making a difference in people’s lives. I imagine myself working in a hospital or clinic, treating patients with care and compassion. Becoming a doctor won’t be easy—it will take years of studying, hard work, and sacrifice—but I know that every challenge I overcome will bring me closer to my goal.

Aside from my career, I also see myself as a responsible and independent person who can support my family and give back to my community. I want to provide medical care to those who need it the most, especially in underserved areas, and inspire others to pursue their own dreams.

Of course, life will have its ups and downs, but I believe that with determination, patience, and a strong sense of purpose, I can overcome any challenge that comes my way. No matter where life takes me, my biggest goal is to be happy, content, and proud of the person I have become—a doctor who not only heals but also brings hope to others.

My 4th Quarter Reflection

This quarter in ICT, I learned a lot about Microsoft FrontPage and how to combine coding with graphics to create web pages. I discovered how to structure a website using HTML and improve its design using different tools. It was really interesting to see how a simple code could turn into a full webpage, and I enjoyed experimenting with different layouts and designs.

But it wasn’t always easy. One of the biggest challenges I faced was debugging errors in my code—sometimes a single mistake would mess up the entire page, and I had to go through everything just to find the problem. Another challenge was balancing design and functionality—I wanted my webpage to look good, but I also had to make sure it worked properly.

To solve these problems, I practiced a lot and asked for help when needed. I double-checked my codes, watched tutorials, and worked with my classmates to understand things better. Little by little, I got better at spotting errors and improving my designs.

Moving forward, I want to keep improving my coding and web design skills. I know there’s still a lot to learn, but this quarter has made me more interested in technology and design. I hope to explore more advanced techniques and create even better projects in the future!

My Highschool Day Experience

The 123rd High School Day celebration of Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS) was a fun and meaningful event that brought the whole school together. It was a special day where students, teachers, and alumni gathered to celebrate the school’s long history and achievements. Seeing everyone participate made me feel proud to be part of ISNHS, knowing that I am part of a school with such a rich past.

One of the best parts of the celebration was the parade and performances. Students from different grade levels prepared dances, music, and creative presentations to showcase their talents. The energy and excitement in the performances were amazing, and it was clear that everyone worked hard to make the event successful. There were also inspiring speeches from school officials and alumni, reminding us of the school’s contributions to education and encouraging us to strive for excellence.

Celebrating High School Day every year is important because it helps us appreciate our school’s history and the efforts of those who built it. It strengthens our school spirit, reminding us to be proud of where we study and to do our best in everything we do. More than just a day of celebration, it is a way of honoring the past while looking forward to the future, ensuring that ISNHS continues to inspire and educate generations of students.

3rd Quarter Thematic

In this photo, our team is actively collecting data in Barangay Mindoro. Armed with notebooks, surveys, and digital tools, we engage with locals to understand the key issues in their community. The atmosphere is exploding with teamwork as we carefully and accurately document observations, ensuring accuracy in our research.

One of the most crucial parts of our research was interviewing residents and stakeholders about environmental awareness in Barangay Mindoro’s coastal areas. In this image, we are seen speaking with fishermen, local officials, and community members, listening to their insights about the challenges they face. Through these discussions, we gained firsthand knowledge of issues such as waste management, marine pollution, and conservation efforts. Their responses provided valuable perspectives that shaped the direction of our study.

Continuing our interviews, we focused on how the residents perceive and address environmental concerns. We documented their thoughts on climate change, coastal erosion, and the impact of human activities on marine life. Some expressed concerns over declining fish populations, while others shared initiatives they have started to promote sustainability. This interaction was eye-opening, highlighting the importance of local involvement in protecting natural resources.

After gathering all necessary information, our team moved on to the coding phase. In this image, we are seen working on our laptops, coding and categorizing the responses from our interviews. We carefully organized the data, identifying patterns and key themes to draw meaningful conclusions. This stage was critical in transforming raw data into structured insights that would support our findings.

Finally, our research journey reflects in this moment, our team presenting the results of our Community-Based Research. In this photo, we confidently share our findings, key points and recommendations. We showcase graphs, case studies, and community insights, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing environmental concerns. This presentation marks the completion of our research journey, a testament to our dedication to understanding and contributing to the community.

My 3rd Quarter Reflection

This third Quarter, I learned a lot in ICT, especially about CBR or Community-based research, html frames and nested lists. CBR taught me how to gather informations effectively and accurately, it also helped me to develop my communication skills becauseto of the interviews we've conducted and also helped me inimproving my analytical and critical thinking skills. Also, learning nested list helped me on how to organize datasbettera especially in HTML programming. Frames also gave me a lot of fun, I lovem the mechanism of you experimenting to achieve your wanted results. T

However, I also faced many challenges throughout my third Quarter journey. Community-based research required a lot of effort in gathering and information analysis, which sometimes makes me feel overwhelmed. Nested list also brought me a lot of confusion at first, but I managed to master it with a lot of practice and experimentations.

In order to address these challenges, I seek help from my teacher and classmates whenever I feel like I can't do a certain task. I also keep on practicing to be able to master our lesson. Moving forward, I will continue to improve my skills and will manage my time better.

Even those without Chinese roots join the celebration because it is fun, colorful, and believed to bring good luck. The government also recognizes its importance by declaring it a special holiday.

During the celebration, people decorate their homes with red lanterns, give ang pao , and prepare lucky foods like tikoy and dumplings. Dragon and lion dancess are performed to splash away bad luckswhile fireworks and firecrackers are set off to scare away evil spirits. Many believe these traditions bring prosperity, happiness, and success in the new year.

Filipinos continue to observe Chinese New Year because it strengthens relationships between Filipino and Chinese communities. It is a time for families to come together, enjoy festive activities, and wish for a better year ahead.
